J. Thibault Obituary
Born in the Manchaug section of Sutton on April 14, 1927 he was the son of Armand and Solange (Boucher) Thibault and has lived in Uxbridge most of his life. Mr. Thibault attended the Good Shepherd School in Linwood, graduated from Uxbridge High School and took several classes at R.I. School of Design, MIT, Worcester Junior College and the Worcester Art Museum. Mr. Thibault was an illustrator for the former Whitin Machine Works and later for Digital Equipment until his retirement in 1990.
Rene was a very artistic and creative man. He enjoyed photography, woodworking, painting and computers. He was a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a member of the U.S. Marine Corps. League Blackstone Valley Detachment 911 and the Charles A. Rice American Legion Post 33 of Uxbridge. He was a communicate of St. Mary's Church and was a photographer at many of the church's events. Rene was a kind and generous man who will be missed by all that knew him.
His funeral will be held on Mon., Jan. 17 from Tancrell-Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge with a Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 71 Mendon St., Uxbridge, MA. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home in Uxbridge will be held on Sun., Jan 16 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Rene's memory may be made to the St. Mary's Parish Fund, 71 Mendon St., Uxbridge, MA 01569.

I have met Rene for the time in the summer of 1998 and soon realized what a great man he was.

Anna and Marc, We were shocked to hear of Rene's passing on Wednesday.We have been in Aruba since Jan. 4. Fr. Jack and Jamie let us know today. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
