I started my career as a Worcester Firefighter at Engine 8. John was assigned there and welcomed me with open arms. He had a great personality and was a fun guy to work along side. We went our seperate ways within the department, and of course he eventually retired. Occasionally I'd bump into him; he'd still smile at me and we'd talk a bit. I was always happy to see him. He was a good friend and in our line of work, you always fondly remember those types.
Rest in Peace, John.

What can one say except to thank you all for sharing a great guy with us all so that we may have those special memories in our lives to remember him by. My days at Ho Jo's, County Kettle, etc. were special to me as we chatted and solved all the world's problems and our lives over a beer or cup of coffee. What a special unique guy he was and I can only imagine your feelings of loss. I hope all my happy memories will be magnified in your memories of that super, simple guy we all loved. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

We are saddened to hear of the loss of John. We will certainly miss him and his unique scene of humor at our coffee times at the Country Kettle. John was always a stand-up guy who had a smile for everyone. I particularly enjoyed his Firefighter stories; he was truly a public servant who put others before himself. It was our pleasure, and a true honor, to call him our friend. Rest in Peace John, you are not forgotten.

My sincere sympathy to John's family.I was saddened by the news of his passing. He was always a
cheerful guy when he came to Coldwell's in Berlin. He will be missed
by all who knew him...
