Hello,
We realize that we are very late to express our deepest condolences, but we wanted to let your family and friends know that we will be sending Care Packages to deployed troops this week and several of these will be dedicated to your loved one. Each package will carry the name, photo and hometown of Kyle A. Little US Army Specialist.

We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, their families and friends and others who support our mission.

We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.

Stephanie McCulley, a Medic with Kyle's unit wrote this poem for Blake and Kyle recently. I'd like to share it with you (with her permission). Stephanie leaves Iraq on May 15th to come home; however, as she leaves, she says it will be very hard to get on that helicopter without Kyle and Blake. They are remembered daily by many....
Thinking of you -

CONTINUE THEIR LEGACY

Some leaders guide us daily and are right here in our midst—

Others continued on but their names are worn forever on our wrists—

The mission continues though time seems to stand still—

We labor for their cause---we have a legacy to fulfill—

After a long day, sometimes we want to give up the fight—

But then those “never forgotten” coax us toward the light—

Freedom still isn’t free and those living will pay a price—

We live and stand with pride to preserve their sacrifice—

With chest held high, a soldier-face and hammer-grip on our guns—

With honor we will speak of them to our daughters and our sons—

We will always be one team, United—Forever Spartans—

A silent oath is whispered with every breath we breathe—

“Always remember to never forget and continue their legacy”—

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”

(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )

Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….

“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”

I did not know Kyle, but I am remembering
his service. He is my hero. !

The Other Side

i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.

can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.

i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side

the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.

i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

December 29, 2007

Kyle,

I know we weren't that close, as we only worked together for a short period... but I could tell you were a great person... You were the only one in the platoon that shared the same love for New England as me... No one can understand the Patriots/Red Sox like someone from New England!! It's taken me a long time to write in these guestbooks for you and Blake because it's hard to accept you two are gone. The platoon is still going strong though. I was just on Kylee's website looking at the pictures of her. You and Tiffany made a beautiful little girl. She's going to grow up knowing what an amazing person her father was. I'll see you in the future!

Stephanie McCulley

November 26, 2007

Dear Kyle,

I am so sorry that it has taken me so long to write. I know that your family already knows what a great soldier you are but I wanted you to hear me say it too. This isn't easy and it feels like a part of our team is missing without you. You were always the one to do your job so professionally and calmly. I still remember that day at the range when everyone was giving me a hard time 'cause I was a female and you stood up for me. I remember how excited you were that Tiffany had gotten pregnant and all those silly questions you would ask me about being pregnant and being a parent. You thought I was a "pro" because I already had 2 children. You were so happy to be a Daddy and asked me all the time, "what is Tiffany experiencing at this stage of pregnancy?" You wanted to be with her so bad. I really look up to you alot and I learned so much from you. You knew your job so well. We will never be the same without you here. Some days I don't feel too motivated to keep on going without you and Blake but I know that I need to be strong. I am working on being less of a "girl" and more of a soldier. Thank you for the time that we had with you. It was an honor to serve with you. My sons are just babies but they will grow up knowing what a Hero you are. Little Kylee and your wife look so beautiful together. The whole team looks at their pictures and thinks of you. You will always be a part of us. We miss you!!! While we are here in Iraq and even when we go back home...You will never be forgotten...I promise.

I have read so many wonderful and heart-felt stories in Kyle's Guest Book, that I now understand how many lives he touched. I want to thank the many individuals that write to just say thank you - or who have also lost loved ones. It's hard to understand the enormity of this "Army" family and the reaches it has. We should all be proud just to be a part of it.

Kyle's 21st Birthday is coming up, August 16th. Take a moment to think of him on this day! I know we will be toasting him, laughing and crying but mostly being with him.

May Kyle rest in God's arms.

Forever,

August 6, 2007

I don't pretend to know what to say or do that would bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.

Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.

I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON (KIA on 07/06/07) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.

REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!

Dear family of Spc. Kyle A. Little, I am so sorry for the loss of your hero. He was a hero in many ways to many people. He was helping to maintain our freedoms and helping to bring freedoms to those that have never known freedom before. I send many packages to contacts listed at AnySoldier.com. Your Kyle, being a volunteer contact for Any Soldier.com, was an angel to many in the field. He cared enough for his unit to help pass out mail to those who maybe did not receive any or as much mail as others. Helping them to know that they were supported, cared for and prayed for by us at home in the USA. What a true hero. Freedom isn’t free.
Thank you Spc. Kyle A. Little. We miss you greatly.
May God’s Holy Spirit grant your family comfort as they progress through grieving for the loss of their very special hero.

It has been just over six weeks and i continue to think of Kyle's family daily. I never imagined i would have to see my daughter suffer such a tragic loss. I'm so proud of how she continues to honor Kyle's life and death. Kylee will know that her Mommy loved her Daddy very much, and that he was also loved by everyone that knew him. I know that Tiffany will never let their love fade away. May God continue to watch over this family and give them the comfort and strength they need.

“Soldier”
Written to Honor the Service of Our Fallen Soldiers

Soldiers write history…they pay the price
Many miles distant, you live the life
Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still

We hope and pray that all will find peace
In God, in the flag, in memories of valor
Gone now, our pride and courage you see
“An Army of One” our motto forever

Willing to risk all for love of our Brothers
We’re still Your Soldiers…and we showed the way
Our Lives too short, now pray for the others
Lived free died Heroes in lands far away

Deep within souls all cherished our Service
We’ll always have what some never know
Courage and Honor, our names forever
Lived life with purpose…just our time to go

We march in the Heavens with Honor and Glory
Missions accomplished we fought the Good Fight
Many years from now…we’ll tell the full story
Until that Day we will live in the Light

Our lives we laid down in a land far away
Still watching o’er you this night and by day
No need to talk…just know we are with you
There in your hearts and we hear what you pray

Yes we are your soldiers
Our lives we laid down
Still We guard o’er you
Still Duty bound

Entered the Battle of our own free will
Out of Duty for Country, and we’d do it still
We’ll always have what some never know
Lived life with purpose…it was our time to go

He was a great soldier , but I also remember him as a child . When we were camping . in Connecticut , I remember he had a Bigfoot truck that he'd sit in and he loves that truck basically . he was a shy boy when he was young . he grew up to be a great and heroic man , and serve this country well I only wish I could have known him better than what I did . we will miss him and he will always be in our hearts and he is a hero Grandpa Jack

I read of Spc. Little in a tribute from his father in law. From what he wrote, I know that this young man left behind a very loving family. I want to say that I thank the family for the life of this young hero. All our freedoms that we enjoy are protected by those who volunteer to go into harms way. America will never forget, nor will I. I take that vow very personally, because I lost my only son in Iraq two years ago. God's blessings be upon all the family and friends. Kyle will live on in the memory of all who knew him, and people like me who refuse to forget.

Although I did not know Kyle, my heart breaks along with you. I lost a loved one in Iraq about 2 and 1/2 years ago and I know the anguish you feel. When it was announced at our church that Vicki had gone to be with her daughter because of her son-in-law being killed in Iraq, my heart broke for the whole family. Even though things will never be the same for you all, I know God can give you comfort and sustain you in this difficult time if you will trust Him.

Jesus said "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 (NIV)

Spc Kyle Little obviously had a great love in his heart, because he laid down his life for us all. Through his sacrifice, he has shown us what the true definition of American Hero is.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Kyle's family and friends as they mourn his loss, especially his young widow and unborn child.

Your loss is shared by the entire nation, and we will never forget Kyle's sacrifice on our behalf.

May God Bless you and keep you in this, your hour of need.

Kyle,

Our families have been very close for generations, our great grandmothers, my mother and your grandmother, my sister and your mom, throughout the years we have helped one another through good times and bad.

This is one of those times that we will need each other, our memories and joyful times come to us easily. We are strong together. Your mom and my sister Liz have now lost one of their most valuable gifts their sons.
There is no greater bond than that between a parent and child.

You are a hero and a brave man to be serving our country at this time of need.

Lucille, Sandra, Shelley, Mike and children, please accept my deepest condolences as you grieve.
Rest in peace,

Jenna Kittredge
