Leonard Gerhardt Obituary
Worcester - Leonard H. Gerhardt, age 87, of Boynton Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late David and Rae (Brenner) Gerhardt.
Leonard was the beloved husband of 66 years to Eleanor Gerhardt. He was the devoted father of Barry Gerhardt and his wife, Joni, Jeffrey Gerhardt and Pam Orlando, Stuart Gerhardt and his wife, Jane, Elizabeth Shron and her husband, Bradley; proud Grampa of Melissa Berkowitz and her husband, Marc, Lindsay Jabbawy and her husband, Michael, Jennifer Dupuis and her husband Gary, Erik, Daniel and Benjamin Gerhardt, David Gerhardt and his wife, Lya, Rachel Gerhardt, and Nathan, Michael and Lauren Shron; Great Grampa of Jacob, Ethan and Sloane Berkowitz, Olivia and Emilee Dupuis, Max and Zack Jabbawy, and Annie Gerhardt. Leonard was the brother of Edmund Gerhardt and his husband, Anthony Petronella.
After serving in the U.S. Army in Korea and Japan, Len joined and later owned Leibman's Electrical Service for many years until his retirement.
Len loved to golf, dance, and cook, but spending time with his family, especially his wife Ellie, was his greatest joy.
FUNERAL SERVICE WAS HELD AT 2:00 PM ON THURSDAY, JULY 5TH AT TEMPLE EMANUEL SINAI, 661 SALISBURY STREET, WORCESTER UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF MILES FUNERAL HOME OF HOLDEN. Burial followed at B'Nai Brith Cemetery.
Memorial Observance was held on Thursday, July 5 at the residence of Stuart and Jane Gerhardt.
Memorial contributions may be made in Leonard's name to Temple Emanuel Sinai, 661 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
