Makayla Packard Obituary
She leaves her mother, Tina Packard of North Carolina; her father, Michael Packard of North Carolina; her aunt and uncle, Tammy and Donald McCarthy with whom she lived; her brother, Donald Foy of Spencer; her sister, Crystal Novia of Southbridge; her three cousins, Zachary Lemire, Felicia Lemire-Ramos and her husband Jonathan Ramos and Kaitlynn Lemire, all of Southbridge; her maternal grandmother, Crystal Fernandez and her husband Donald of Leicester; her maternal grandfather, Thomas Foy and his wife Kathy of North Carolina; an uncle Thomas Foy, Jr. of New Jersey; a nephew, Jayce Albury of Southbridge; two great grandmothers, Beverly Hall of California and May Foy of North Carolina; extended family, Richard, Deb and Tony Buccelli of Southbridge and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. She was born in Worcester, on August 12, 1995.
Makayla was student at Southbridge High School and was a member of the school's chorus and it's field hockey team. She was a member of the Upward Bound Program in association with Nichols College for aspiring college students. She loved attending Southbridge High football games and spending time with her best friend Mileshka Morales.
Calling hours for Makayla will be held in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St. Southbridge on Saturday, Dec. 11th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m with a funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. Burial will be private.

DEAR MAKAYLA,
IF YOU CAN HEAR ME SPEAK THIS IS HOW I FEEL. IAM SO SORRY IT HAD TO END THIS WAY, AND I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE YOU LEFT US TOO SOON.NO ONE CAN REALLY UNDERSTAND HOW I FEEL BUT I KNOW YOU DO. I STILL QUESTION WHY, WHY, AND WHY YOU GOT TO GO THIS YOUNG. YOU GOT SO MUCH POTENTIALS AND I MUST SAY YOU WERE A GOOD FRIEND I NEVER HAD. YOU VE BEEN REAL,I REMEMBER THE DAY WE WENT TO THE MOVIES, IT WAS DEFINETELY ONE OF A KIND. I WANNA SAY THANKS FOR CONTRIBUTING TO MY LIFE BECAUSE WITHOUT IT I WILL NEVER HAVE THIS WONDERFUL LIFE WITH UR SIS. I never knew this young woman, but I worked with her Mother and Her Grandfather Tom Foy in High Point, NC. I am so sorry that she was taken away from all of you so young. I know God must have a plan for her that we, here, can not understand. I hope you will find peace somehow and remember her obviously bright personality.

I remember the first time I met you, I classified you as another freshman when you enterd the Upward Bound Program. You were the one that stuck out the most and thats what I liked about you. We enjoyed so many fun times together(The beach over the summer). You were a dear friend to me and you were so loyal. You were always there for me when I needed a laught or just cheering up. You were amazing.

In 4th grade, you smacked Angela and Brittney when they were teasing me because of my old clothes. I was very tiny then and have not seen you in years but that moment I knew I had a friend in you who always stood up for the underdog, RIP dear Makayla. Heaven has a special angel now.

I am so very sorry to read of Makayla’s tragic death. She is such a beautiful and happy young woman. I do not know young Makayla or her family personally, but I do completely understand what it is to loose a beautiful daughter in the prime of her young life. My 11 year old daughter, Danielle Marie was killed in a terrible auto accident on RT. 49 in Sturbridge in Feb of 2006. I was informed of her death at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. Life as I once knew it has forever changed and my family, as yours will never be the same. Nothing makes any sense and the physical, emotional and mental pain of grief has no mercy or time-frame.
Please take one breath at a time, find comfort and solace in those who love and care about you and your precious Makayla. May God provide you strength and comfort as you travel upon this terrible journey of Grief.
You are all in my deepest thoughts and prayers.
