Nicholas Catachio Obituary
Millbury - Nicholas J. Catachio, 95, passed away July 2, 2017 with his family by his side, after a brief period of declining health. His wife of sixty-two years, Anna C. (Caporelli) Catachio predeceased him in 2008.
He leaves a daughter Susan Dinino, a son-in-law John Dinino and a son David Catachio, all of Naples, Fl; 3 grandchildren, Gregg Dinino of Maine, Jennifer Gibbons of Florida and Nicholas Catachio; 3 great grandchildren, Ana Dinino, Lance Dinino and Abigayle Gibbons; a brother, Vincent J. Catacchio of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Nicholas was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, son of the late Thomas and Antonia (Guerra) Catacchio and had lived in Millbury, Massachusetts until he moved to Naples, Florida in 2013. He worked at Wyman Gordon in Grafton, Massachusetts for many years and served his country proudly in the US Navy during WWII.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow to Saint John's Cemetery in Worcester.
Those who wish to remember Nicholas by way of a memorial tribute are kindly asked to consider Avon Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.

Please know you're all in our prayers at this sad time. I will always hold a special place in my heart for a very sweet and loving "dad". We had so many great memories, when growing up, I can't even count them, especially our Summer trips to Cape Cod. I'm so glad he got to spend the last few years with you in Florida. RIP dear Nick.

Sad to hear of Nicks passing. He was a great man and was always friendly to us when we would see him.

Although I never met Nick, I recognized his name from my father, Walter Nadolink, who worked with him at Wyman's. My father always spoke highly of him.Interestingly, Walter died last year in Naples!He would have been really surprised if he found out Nick lived nearby. If you are ever at Stan's in Goodland, introduce yourself to my brother, Walt Nadolink, who lives in town. God bless. No matter how old our dads were, it is still a great loss.
