Nicholas Mancini Obituary

Nicholas R. Mancini, 93

Webster/Worcester - Nicholas R. Mancini, 93, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Webster Manor.

His wife, Camille (Prudenti) Mancini died in 1969.

He leaves a son, Steven C. Mancini and his wife Cheryl of Sturbridge; 2 daughters, Marie Harris of Virginia and Joyce C. Urbanowski of Webster; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Rudy Mancini of Leicester and Robert Mancini of Worcester, and many nieces and nephews.

Nicholas was born in Worcester one of 13 children of the late Michael and Marie (Fazio) Mancini and lived in Worcester most of his life before moving to Webster 8 years ago.

He was a WWII Army veteran and saw action from Normandy and through to the Ardennes and earned a Purple Heart Medal as well as a campaign ribbon with 5 service stars.

Upon returning home he worked as a postal worker at the Central Office in Worcester where he retired.

A Funeral Service for Nicholas will be Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 11AM in the ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St., Webster, burial will follow with Military Honors at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester next to his wife.

Calling Hours will be Wednesday, from 9:30AM to 11AM prior to the Service.
