Peter Brothers Obituary
WORCESTER - Peter Owen Brothers Jr., 50, of Worcester, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the Rose Monahan Hospice after a long battle with cancer.
His father, Peter O. Brothers, died October 16, 2011. He leaves His mother, A. Jane (Dalton) Brothers, his wife Lisa (Gallagher) Brothers, two beloved daughters, Jamie and Kelli Brothers, his sister, Mary Ellen Burke, two brothers, Patrick L. Brothers and his wife Kristin, and Luke Brothers, all of Worcester; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Peter was born in Worcester. He was a graduate of Burncoat High School. He owned and operated B & B Trucking Co. for many years.
Peter was a devoted New England Patriots fan and had season tickets to the Patriots for the past 25 years.
Peter attracted many close friends during his lifetime. These dear friends have been there for Peter, generously caring for him during his long final illness.
Calling hours are Wednesday, July 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral will be Thursday, July 11 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peter Brothers Children Fund, in care of Lisa Brothers, 39 Wilbur St., Worcester 01606.

Lisa, Kelli, Jamie & Brothers Family.. Pete was one of our dearest & closest friends. We have soo many great memories...from Patriots games in Miami to the many family vacations together in Maine, Disney & the Cape. And we cannot forget the Stones concerts & all the birthday parties..watching our beautiful daughters grow into lovely young ladies. Pete was such an amazing dad. Pete was one of a kind,funny,gentle, caring, giving, loving...We shared many, many laughs together and I considered him one of my oldest, dearest friends. Thanks for the Stones tickets, what a memory, what a surprise & great time!! I'm sure that Dave welcomed you home with arms wide open and guitar in hand...take care of one another.
