Dear Maryanne, Nancy and I were at the VA hospital in West Roxbury yesterday and learned of Pete's passing three weeks ago. It hit us hard. Pete was such a rock of stability and good sense when we shared a room on the spinal cord injury ward at the hospital. I remember people telling me to listen to the therapists and give them 110%. I followed his advice. I now can walk again with the help of a rollater. I remember the sound advice Pete gave our roommate who was having problems with the staff. People such a straight shooter and he did it in such a gentle way. We followed your advice with respect to finding the right transportation for us. Once again, you and Pete hit the ball out of the park. There isn't a day goes by when we use our van that we don't think of the two of you and how much you helped us. We are incredibly sorry for your loss.
