Ralph Helstrom Obituary
NORTHBRIDGE - Ralph E. Helstrom, 85, of Northbridge passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Rose Monahan Hospice in Worcester. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Applegate) Helstrom for 63 years.
Ralph worked as a machinist for the former Dennison Manufacturing Corp. in Framingham for 20 years before retiring.
He was born August 28, 1933 in Providence, RI to the late Elmer T. and Clara (Dandanell) Helstrom and was a graduate of Cranston High School.
Ralph enjoyed yard work, woodworking, and hunting. He took great joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren and helping others. He loved to play cards and cribbage at the senior center with friends and family.
In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by his children, David R. Helstrom and his wife Tammy of Douglas, Debra L. Mangin of Viroqua, WI and Eric B. Helstrom and his wife Heidi of Douglas; nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Marion Gentile and son-in-law, Frank Mangin.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 4-7 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge.
Funeral service will be Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10 AM in the Faith Fellowship Church, 647 Douglas St., Uxbridge.
Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Linwood Ave., Northbridge.
Memorial donations in Ralph's name may be made to, Straight Ahead Ministries, Inc., 791 Main St., Worcester, MA 01610.
