Robin Koumpis Obituary
Robin leaves her husband of 25 years, Ernest Koumpis; a son, H. Derek Koumpis of North Grafton; a daughter, Eleni E. Koumpis of Worcester; three grandchildren, Tyrae, Arianna, and William; and her parents, Richard and Janet (Bushey) Johnson of Hudson. She leaves her sister and best friend, Roberta Blake who unselfishly donated a kidney to help her sister and gave her 12 years of life and Roberta's husband, Chris Blake of Hudson, MA. She also leaves her other sister, Rhonda L. and her husband William Casey of Longmont, Colorado; her brother, Richard L. Johnson of Hudson; 2 sisters-in-law, Chris Vlahos and her husband Nick of Dedham, and Agnes Tsourides and her husband Athan of Shrewsbury; and many nieces and nephews.
Robin was born in Burlington, Vermont. She graduated from North High School and WITI. She worked at the former Morgan Construction Company for almost 30 years. She was an angel and a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed being around her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street with a funeral service at 10 a.m. at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester, MA 01609. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held today, Wednesday, August 18, from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 60 Walnut St., Wellesley, MA 02481-2103 or St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell St., Worcester, MA 01609.
