Tom was a bright star of our high school class. I remember well his wit and intellect, especially in our moments before school began. I was fortunate enough to meet him once more in the years after graduation. I regret not having had more opportunites. My condolences to his family and colleagues.

I was a classmate of Tom at Assumption. He was a quiet scholar. My father attended our commencement and was very taken with Tom's valedictory speech. My prayers are with his family.

Thomas introduced me to so much "new" music (at least to me) while we were at Assumption. I thought of him every time I played my Jaime Brockett albums and whenever I visited a pizza joint in central MA.

Thom's quiet, deeply good humoured, wise presence in our class at Assumption was very important to us all. I am sure he carried his loving care to so many in your family. Bill and I will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.

Tom and I were classmates at Assumption College. His room was next to mine our Freshman year. You couldn't find a kinder, gentler soul, and a better friend. His valedictory address at graduation drew a standing ovation from his classmates due to its sincerity and beauty. He had the respect and admiration of all who knew him, and I will keep him and his family in my prayers.

To Thom's familiy:
I am deeply saddened by Thom's passing. I lacked Thom's mathematical abilities (to say the least), but Thom was one of the many math whizzes at Assumption who desperately tried to tutor me. (I'm glad my perpetually dazed stares were never interpreted by him as a sign he was an inadequate math tutor). While I am still a "dolt" in math, I never forgot Thom's kindness, giftedness, thoughtfulness and humor. You, and he, will be in my prayers this Father's Day weekend and for a long time. God bless you all.

Although it has been several years since I worked with Thom at Blodgett & Blodgett, I remember his easy-going demeanor and quick wit like it was yesterday. The lives that he touched are better for having known him. He will be missed.

I was a little misfit at St.John's who was accepted by Thom as a member of his little group. Though, we never hung out together, his little talk helped me through high school and well beyond.

I was the only girl at Dan's birthday party when we were little kids. I never forgot how welcome Tom made me feel; or how genuinely sweet and generous he was.

Tom Blodg was a wonderful classmate at Saint John's, where our experiences ranged from Brother Gordian's weekly Time Magazine trivia challenges through the Argonauts, the Federalists, the Transcendentalists, and the Existentialists. He often seemed amused by the world around us, and his quick wit brought a lot of enjoyment to the classroom. Rest in peace, good friend.
