Jane, I have known Jimmy since we were 14 years old in Hattiesburg, Ms. He was our neighbor and a wonderful friend of all my brothers. He was at our house almost every day and I loved him like a brother. We moved to Greenwood,Ms. and so did he. He and I sat by each other at GHS graduation. I met you at our high school reunion a few years ago - I believe in Hattiesburg. You were newly weds and he was so happy. I was heart broken to hear of his death. He was one of my favorite people I've ever known.
I send my love and condolences.
Jean Pittman Williams.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Dr. Fleming through his work with the Tennessee Medical Foundation. He gave of his time through voluntary service on our Physicians' Health Peer Review Committee. His love and support for his fellow physicians was genuine and always present. I will miss his warm and ready smile.

Jane, I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed getting to know you and Jim through the design of your house. I also loved finding out that he had a previous close friendship with my Dad. He always reminded me of my own Dad (Tom Lester) who is one of the best storytellers on earth. Jim will be missed, he was such a warm person.

Jim was my husband's, Joe Luttrell, best man at our wedding in 1981 and a cherished friend to both of us. His heart was big as all outdoors and he loved life - his family, his friends, his co-workers, and people in general. His contributions to my life as a supportive friend and to so many others will live on in our hearts. I have faith that he and Joe are having a big heavenly reunion. Love to all the family and my sincerest sympathies. He will be missed by so many.

Flem, as my dad would call him, had known Jim their since college days. I called him Jim because Dr. Fleming seemed to formal. I would see Jim mostly at the Vandy baseball games where he always asked how I was doing. He had a real and sincere tone about him, always taking the time to chat with me. He was as kind and generous a person as I knew .
You will be missed Jim. We will keep your seat at the baseball game open next year in rememberance of you.
Thoughts and prayers for Jane, Janetta, Catherine, Karen, and their families.
I hope Max has shown you around your new home. RIP

Dr. Fleming will always have a special place in my heart. In 1967. 1969, 1970 and 1986, he performed surgery on my son, Keith, for cleft lip and cleft palate repair. He did a beautiful job. In my eyes, Dr. Fleming was the best plastic surgeon on the planet. Sending my regrets and BLESSINGS to the family.

The world has lost a wonderful man, I'm so sorry for his family. I was one of his 1st patients as a child. In 1966 I caught 3 fingers in a washing machine. He was able to save part of each one. I had many surgeries over the years with him, as an adult I worked for SmithKline Lab as a courier & was lucky to have his office on my route there for I was able to see him several days a week. His office staff at the time had no knowledge of our long history until he called me "CRY BABY" one day. At that time he throughly enjoyed telling them all the story of our years together, and yes I was a "Cry Baby" then & today. I was fortunate enough to attend his retirement party from Plactic Surgery. I will treasure the times I spent with him always as well as letters & notes he sent me over the years. May God bless & keep you all at this sad time in all our lives.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Fleming many times in the same hospital's as he did in surgery. He was a wonderful man & did some of the most beautiful plastic surgery of surgeons I worked with. Blessed be the family that had him all these years.
