Nancy Beauchamp Obituary

Nancy Boone Beauchamp

Nashville - Nancy Boone Beauchamp, age 80, born in Nashville, TN on December 22, 1938 to Hettie and John Tyer Boone, Sr. passed away on November 20, 2019. She is also preceded in death by brothers, Jack Boone and William Boone.

Nancy is survived by children, Leslie Grote (Gus), Lisa Holzapfel (John), and Tiffany Rowland (Mark); grandchildren, Camille Chaffin (Davis), Elizabeth Frist (Bryan), Carl Grote (Fran), Caroline Holzapfel, John Michael Holzapfel, Ellie Hodge (Max), Katie Grace Rowland, and Cason Rowland; great-grandchildren, Bo Chaffin, Oliver Chaffin, Amelia Fearn Frist, and Ward Frist; and sister-in-law, Lynn Boone.

"Nanny" as she was known by all friends and family had a wonderful sense of humor, always young at heart, and never met a stranger. She especially loved being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Nancy had many friends; however, she was blessed to have a special group of life-long friends who have remained close since elementary school. She took joy in the simple things such as fires, reading, hot chocolate, Tiffany's tea, Leslie's roses, and Lisa's supply of whimsy. Nancy was a faithful member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She also tutored refugees at the Nations Ministry Center.

Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10:00 a.m-11:30 a.m. with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at Calvary United Methodist Church. Nanny loved vibrant colors so please feel free to dress accordingly.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Calvary United Methodist Church or Nations Ministry Center.

My family lived next door to Nancy and her family on Granny White Pike for many years. Lisa and I basically grew up together and Nancy always made me feel like a part of her family. I spent endless hours at their house and out in the front yard hiding in the bushes, playing kickball, riding our bikes on their long driveway and just having fun. Nancy was always as energetic as we were oh so many years ago. They were the best friends and neighbors you could ever ask for. Eventually, they moved to Franklin, but we remained close. I remember the joy their family experienced when Tiffany was born. Many beautiful memories of Nancy and the entire family. May they find peace and comfort in the joy she brought to their lives and to so many others. Peace and prayers.

Nancy,

You were my mom's best friend and she cherished running errands with you and lunches.... shopping and especially your long phone calls every night. She had been searching for the mincemeat you both would eat while on the phone just the other day to make sure you had some! She has been so heart broken and missing the fabulous friend you had been and always will be to her.

You were a special, wise and generous soul. We all will miss you greatly. Thank you for being there with us all through many heartaches. We all loved you so very much. You will always live on in our hearts and we know we will see you again.

We are sorry for your family's loss. Prayers will be lifted up for them.

Love you, Nancy.

I'm certain God puts people in our lives for reasons that are beyond my comprehension but how grateful I was to have had the opportunity to reconnect & get to know this special lady a little more a few years back. Praying for God's sweet peace today & the days ahead for her and her beloved family. Rest peacefully dear Nancy.
Love,
Little Tia Howard
