Paula Douglas Obituary

Paula Douglas

Nashville - Paula Douglas, known to many as "Paula Mae," passed away on June 27, 2019 in Nashville, TN, at the age of 68 years. A native of Gainesboro, Paula spent her childhood years in Stonewall before moving to Nashville. She was a graduate of Meigs High School.

The two greatest loves of Paula's life were the Lord Jesus and her children. Paula was a faithful member of Inner City Ministry Church of Christ for over 30 years, where she assisted with kitchen duty and preparing the Lord's Supper. Sitting in the sunlight "spending time with God" was her favorite activity in retirement.

Paula is survived by her twin brother (Paul); and children, Stephanie (James); Arquis; Terri (Andrew); Yakou; Cheveka; Kenesha, and Laketa. She will be dearly missed by her 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and countless friends and family. Her examples in humility, compassion, and devotion to Christ will not be forgotten.

Momma Blue !
I will miss you and will always remember the love and kindness that you showed me as your son-in-law. All the times we spended together talking about the word of God. She was a very special mother and friend to me, someone i could always talk to at any time,about anything . I will never get you momma (Paula Douglas).
May you Rest In Peace.

Love you! Your son-in-law;
Andrew H.

Paula ...You made a lasting impression on everyone that you brushed paths with throughout your life cycle. You truly embodied selfless to your family. You were our Ace in the hole, guiding light, a long with the other hats that are pre installed when one becomes a MOTHER. I will miss our late night hilarious phone conversations and knowing no matter what u were there for us. Thank u Paula for continuously praying for your family, extended family, friends, strangers, and the world within itself. You were one blessed woman. You were a faithful woman of christ right to the end, and no doubt he was as faithful back to you. Enjoy yourself Paula I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I love you I....
