Gallatin, TN
Age 100 of Gallatin, entered into rest on November 12, 2015 at her residence, at Morningside Assisted Living Residence in Gallatin, surrounded by family and friends.
The service will be held at Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 2601 Cages Bend Road, Gallatin on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. The funeral will be at 2 p.m.
A native of Simpson County, Kentucky, Mrs. Ramsey was the daughter of the late Sterling and Commie Gibson Hunt. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, James "Jimmy" Ramsey.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynn Nystrom and Tracy Hamilton of Gallatin, and Trina (Mark) Cook of Columbia; nieces, Delene Clendining, Sue Draper and Omaleah McClary of Franklin, KY and Betty (Winona) Martin of Guntersville, AL; five grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; special friend, Terry Thornton, and numerous beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. Ramsey was a faithful member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church, and was a lifelong member of her beloved Ladies Group and the Young at Heart Club. Ruby retired from Chas. C. Parks Company, where she was employed as a bookkeeper for over 30 years.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 2601 Cages Bend Road, Gallatin, TN 37066; Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203; or Safe Place for Animals, 1070 Old State Hwy 109, Gallatin, TN 37066.

All of the people at The Gallatin Senior Center will miss Ruby's smiling face, laughter and her warm hugs. She worked many years volunteering with our center and Thrift Store and she loved to help others. Miss Ruby I know you are now in no pain or suffering and you are having lots of fun with Miss Helen and other friends that waited for your arrival! Lots of love and BIG hugs! We will meet again someday ...
