Mr. & Mrs. Darwin as well as Ted added to my Cookeville Experience.
This time of year I often recall of the beautiful Mums Mr. Darwin would harvest in his backyard floral garden!

I have great memories of the Darwin family and Ted. We were cousins and I had many happy times in Cookville.

Back in the 70's I was a renter at the Darwin Home while attending TTU. The Darwin family were very hospitable.
I feel honored to have met such fine people. I tried to stay in touch with the family at least once or twice a year. Ted and his family had the the biggest and nicest mums I have ever seen. Mr. And Mrs. Darwin, as well as Ted, were some of the best people I have ever met that truly displayed great southern hospitality.
I have visited Cookevilke about every 2 years or so after leaving Cookeville. When I would return I always made it a point to visit Mr. Darwin after his wife's passing and continued to visit Ted after his father's passing.
This family represented the region well and I always look forward to visiting Cookeville, TTU and 405 N Dixie.
With sympathy to the family, community and the fine people of Cookeville.
