Memorial services will be held on Saturday July, 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille, 330 St. Landry St, Lafayette, Louisiana for David A. Trahan, 40, who passed away in the hands of God at the threshold of eternal peace. Reverend Monsignor J. Douglas Courville, JCL, will officiate the services.
David's quick wit, sense of humor and unparalleled sense of adventure blessed this world and touched us all. A native of Lafayette, David shared his passion for life with his many friends and family. His survivors include, his adoring mother Margaret Trahan; beloved brother, Mark Trahan; nephews and nieces, Janssen John Trahan, Taren Trahan, Connor Trahan and Courtney Trahan; former sister in law Karen Trahan Baker; cousin, Thomas N. Frisby and countless friends.
His remarkable brothers Jim Trahan and John Trahan as well as his loving father Dr. James Trahan preceded him in death. These men set the standard for southern gentlemen.
David was known as an adventuresome man with an unwavering desire to explore. At and early age he left home for New York City and explored the world of fashion and food. After 10 years of success David unselfishly returned home to help his family after the loss of his older brother, and remained to assist with family matters.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Saturday, July 26, 2014 from 10:30 AM until time of services.

I was David's roommate and best friend at LSU in Baton Rouge, and we then moved to New York together and were roommates there as well. This is a shock to me, and he will certainly be missed. Even though I had not seen him in years, I still remember his fondly.
