We are sorry for your loss. Mrs. Iris Rose, was such a great person, she will live on in our memories forever.

Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.

Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow. May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.

My son Michael Jr. and I was driving from San Antonio Texas to Alexandria Virginia and upon arriving to Layette Louisiana in the year of 2014 spring time, both of us had the opportunity to stop by their home and meet my long time U.S. Army friend since 1978 while stationed at B Company 317th Engineer Battalion, Camp Eschborn Germany Cornelius, and his family members, wife Iris, and sons, Chandler, Spencer, and Adrian Rose.

It was a wonderful experience reuniting with my friend Cornelius , although we speak on the telephone just about every other day, we haven't seen each other since Jan 1980 while assigned in Germany.

Cornelius and his wife prepared a home cooked meal for my son and I. It was delicious.
I continue to say to others, when you make a friend it's a gift that you give yourself.

I was deeply saddened by the news of her passing. My heart felt condolences to you and your family.

To my very special Great Aunt: Thank you for your kindness and many memorable summers that I keep with me always. I love you and cherish our time together and love you've given me as child.

To my strongest Great Uncle and 3 Cousins: I am grateful for your response to this time, that you remain steadfast and strengthened by those around you and comforted by the thoughts and prayers of those afar. It is with great regret that I will not be able to join for a farewell to my dear Aunt but I am assured that you will be in good company. I love you all very much and thankful that my Aunt had great caretakers such as yourselves.

Love,
Donovan
