Milton Potier Obituary
Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Milton J. Potier, Sr., 72, who died February 3, 2021 in Broussard, LA.
Services will be conducted by Father Nick Hien Nguyen, SVD.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
He is survived by Dianna Bernard (life partner), four sons: Milton J. Poiter Jr.(Margaret) of Breaux Bridge, LA, Rhett Trahan(Shirley) of Pearland, TX, Kentrell Lockett(Akula) of Four Corners, LA ,Mandel Williams of St. Martinville, LA; four daughters: Javonna Potier-Smith(Donald) of Canyon Country, CA, Myavas Batiste of Parks, LA, Rateah Gage of Baton Rouge, LA, Shanitra Potier of Colorado Springs, CO, Melissa Potier (Willie) of New Iberia, LA; Five brothers: Leonard Potier(Tanya),Lyndon Potier(Becky),Celton Potier, Melvin Potier (Linda), Albert Potier; one sister: Angelia Potier-Medina; twenty-five grandchildren; seven great Grandchildren; two Godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Marie Anita; three sisters, Mary Jane Penner, Marie Luella Anthony, and Leona Potier-Sinegal; brothers- in law, Harry Peter Sinegal Sr. and Roy Medina.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 at Syrie Funeral Home from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.
