Bruce Trahern Obituary

Bruce T. Trahern (71) passed in his sleep the morning of December 4, 2023. He was born to Arlie and Alice Trahern October 5, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan. In 1963 his family relocated to Covington, LA and after completing high school he enrolled at LSU. While attending LSU he joined the brotherhood of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity enabling him to forge endearing lifelong friendships and continue his love for all things LSU. Although cut short by a life altering health event, Bruce's exceptional people skills served him well with his career in hospitality, car sales and Real Estate. He moved to Las Vegas with his family for several years before returning to Baton Rouge in 2020. Later in life Bruce declared Jesus Christ as his personal savior, was baptized and began his life as a Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife, Cathrine L. Trahern, son, Justin Trahern, stepdaughter, Christine Benbenisty (Doron), brothers, Alan Trahern and Scott Trahern (Melissa), sister, Alison Trahern Rogillio (Gordon), and the loves of his life, grand-daughters, Adriel and Helena Benbenisty. As per his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no formal service. His ashes will be scattered at The Bluffs in St. Francisville, LA where so many fond memories were made.
