Marshall P. Stagg, Sr., age 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, surrounded by his family. A memorial service for Marshall will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church on North Boulevard in Baton Rouge. He is further survived by three stepdaughters, Angela Hudson and husband Gregg, Cece Ducote and husband Doug, and Donna Monk and husband Daniel. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerome "Jerry" Stagg and wife Rudell, and a sister Rose Marie "Tee" Perilloux. Friends may visit from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home in Bunkie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in memory of Marshall to his beloved Louisiana Methodist Children's Home, 901 South Vienna St., Ruston, LA 71270. Melanie,
So sorry to hear of Marshall's death. I am also sorry I could not attend the services. I have been having rotator cuff issues and had to go to the doctor on Thursday and ER on Saturday. Marshall was so very special and kind to all. You were such a wonderful partner to him. Please let us know if there is anything that will comfort you in this time of sorrow. I also still have some contacts at Dow that may be able to help you through the process. Take care and God bless you and your family.
