Walter Giffin Obituary

Walter Giffin, a native of Texas, a resident of Slaughter, Louisiana passed away November 16th, 2018. He was a retired cutting horse trainer, farrier and a farm manager at DCI for Prison enterprises at the Louisiana Department of Corrections. Survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Ward Giffin, one son, Lane Giffin, wife Kim, three step children: Stuart Clemmons, husband Ray Waters, David Clemmons and Ann Clemmons. One grandson, Blake Giffin, two step grandsons; Stuart Taylor McCrary and Justin Ward Clemmons. Survived also by two sisters: Nina Vincent, husband Johnny and Miki Jackson. One brother Michael Giffin and wife Holly. Many close friends and co-workers, his beloved horses and dogs and a goat name Barnaby. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
