I can tell by reading the obituary that Bill was a great man. As a young boy growing up in the Perkins Road overpass area our gang of 10 and 11 year olds had a chance hang around much older Bill one summer. The way he treated us as fifth graders was amazing. He worked at Jacks (mini market) corner of Ferndale and Perkins. Bill was so nice to us hanging out at the store everyday. He even let us help stock freezer. We thought we were so cool. i have always wondered about his life. Made an impression on me back then. So much so that always remembered his name even though lost track. You never know how far kindness goes. My prayers with his family.
