Willie Veal Obituary

A retired employee of Oleum Oil and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 9:05 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at Baton Rouge Home Health. He was 74 and a native of St. Francisville. Religious service at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Norwood on Monday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. George Veal. Interment in Elm Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Susanne Veal; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Hewitt Hillard, of Baton Rouge, and Victoria and David Rawls, of St. Gabriel; three sisters, Dena Hardy, of Jackson, Alice Johnson, of St. Francisville, and Rosa Lee Culbert, of St. Gabriel; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Lawrence Veal, of St. Gabriel, Lloyd and Janice Veal, of Clinton, David and Rodessa Veal, of Baton Rouge, and the Rev. George and Eunice Veal, of Clinton; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his grandparents, mother and father, four sisters and a brother.
