Beverly Ann Younkins

Beverly Ann Younkins, 86, of Ellicott City, MD passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, May 15, 2025. She was born on May 1, 1939, in Ellicott City, MD to the late Claude Taylor and Geraldine Harp Taylor. Beverly was a graduate of Lisbon High School. She worked for several years at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. Beverly was a Baltimore Orioles fan and enjoyed watching their games. She also enjoyed Bluegrass and County music. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were most important. Her dog "Sammy" was also special to her. She is survived by sons: Gerald "Jerry" Younkins, Jr., Jeffrey Younkins and Michael Younkins and wife Jennifer; sisters Shirley Hopkins and Donna Whetzel; grandchildren: Tyler and wife Kayla, Taylor, Trevor, Payten and Adriana and great-granddaughters Hadley, Aubree and Sophie. She was predeceased by brothers Claude Taylor, Jr., Chris Taylor and Reginald Taylor and husband Gerald E. Younkins, Sr. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will follow at 1 PM.
