John Gordon White, 66, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Henry Community Health. He was born November 28, 1958 in New Castle, the son of Denzil and Joan (Gordon) White.
John was a 1977 graduate of Knightstown High School and a 1981 graduate of Purdue University with a Mechanical Technology degree. He worked in the auto parts industry, first at White Flash Auto Parts, then Rice Ford and retired from NAPA. He was a model car enthusiast and also loved Jeeps. John enjoyed attending custom car shows and was a very talented and precise man. He maintained a close relationship with his college friends utilizing the motto "ever true."
He is survived by his wife, Michele White; stepsons, Andrew Ellis and Steven Ellis; grandson, Collin Ellis; sister, Alica White; and several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 4:00 PM Monday, July 14, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Joe McIntosh officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
