Mike Hadden, 53, of Route 47 in Delmont, has gone home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 22, 2012.
He passed peacefully in his sleep after an eight-month battle with lung cancer and pneumonia.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; several cousins; and two brothers, whom reside in Winter Haven, Fla., where Mike was born and raised. Mike worked as a framing carpenter for most of his life, recently building many homes along the New Jersey shore for several different builders. His greatest passion in life was motor sports, in particular Formula One and Grand Prix auto racing. He was a regular visitor to New Jersey Motorsports Park. Mike was friend to everyone he ever met, always willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
Per Mike's wishes, friends and neighbors will be contacted soon as to date, time and location of a casual "Irish Wake" to celebrate his life here. Mike's cremated remains will then be taken back to Florida, where his family and friends will also gather to honor and celebrate the life of their loved one.
Arrangements are being handled by Hoffman Funeral Homes Leesburg.

Rest in peace my friend. Know that Jesus said that he was going to prepare a place for us in his Father's house. Then he would back to get us so that we can be with him. Your place is ready and he has come for you. Live eternally with God.

The summers we spent together at our aunts as kids and the days of riding his motorcycles and all the great tmes we had as adults when we could get together. Always my favorite cousin. Theresa I want to thank you for loving him and caring for him all those many years and esp during his illness. I love you both. you are a beautiful person inside and out. Michael, gone from my sight but never from my heart. Rest easy in the love of our Lord, painfree, peaceful, and knowing you did your very best to serve our Lord while here on earth. I miss you, friend and husband. Theresa

You are gone from this earth but never will you leave my heart. My sadness is great for your passing, but my happiness that you are now at rest, free of pain, and with the Lord is greater still.
I love you forever, Theresa
