Betsy,
I was very saddened to learn of "Pappy's" accident and passing. I have fond memories from my racing days, and the good old days running the alters. He was a great guy, and although it may not offer you much comfort at this time, he died doing what he loved. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad and difficult time. With my sincere condolences for your loss,
Fondly,
Jim Groff of Terry's Performance Center, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania

Mrs. Parker and Bud,
They don't make many men as likeable, friendly or as helpful as was
Neal and is his good friend Don Henry. Mrs. Parker your work with the

Dear Betsy and Parker Family,
Words can't express my sorrow for your loss. To say that Neal was someone who would help anyone would be an understatement. This past winter he plowed my driveway and made big snow mounds for my son to play on. My neighbor across the street asked me if he could do his yard and when I asked Neal at first he said he was too busy to do it, but he went anyway because he wanted to help. I'll never forget all of us in Joe's wedding and how out of place he looked in a tux and without a cigar. He will be sadly missed and hopefully when he gets to heaven he give's em hell. A great all around guy who will never be forgotten.
You are all in my prayers,
Larry Wiggins

Betsy, sincere condolences from another "Manor Avenue kid". Neal and I were close friends as kids and were in the same class through elementary school. My brother and I knew him well, and though you might not remember, we spent many hours riding mini-bikes with you and Julie at the gravel hole next to McCloskey's. I wish you peace in this time of sadness, and my prayers are with you.

Betsy and the Parker Family,
Our families were neighbors our whole lives. Mr. and Mrs. Parker had the farm when Neal and I started kindergarten. Neal was so easy going and would even play school with us. As our parents aged, Neal was always there making sure the driveways were clear if it snowed. He was hard working and enjoyed life. Our deepest sympathies to all of you.

Uncle Neal
Only 3 years older, Uncle Neal was more a wonderful big brother to me. He was at our house all the time growing up. We went camping together lots of times in the woods we both grew up in. Neal would get me laughing so hard, I would get sick to my stomache and have to walk home every time. He was so funny! He was so much bigger than me, I told him several times we had the wrong bodies. I needed that big strong frame for sports, my small frame would have been fine for racing. He was always so good to me. I saw Neal for the last time on his dozer, working in my daughters yard just 5 days before he he left us. My grandkids loved to watch him work. I smiled and gave him a big salute, he smiled and saluted back and kept moving on the dozer. Little did I know. ....The world will not be the same place now. I know I will still be looking for his big white dump truck anyway. I love Uncle Neal, he was a kind gentleman.
You are in our prayers Aunt Betsy

Dear Betsy, family and friends,
Neal has always been a special part of our family and we have had so many funny times listening to his stories. Years of his ornery boyish grins, laughing so hard he could barely tell the stories himself. He seemed to make work fun. But as fun loving as he was, Our family had the privelege of hearing him speak of his famiy with such love and high regard. From the big grin and pride he had all over his face when he spoke of you Betsy, to the love and respect he exhibited when he spoke of his parents and siblings, there was no question about how much you all meant to him. We will all miss the energy, life, funny stories and yes, even his ever present cigar!

Betsy,
You may or may not know me but, my name is George Lewis (Neal would remember me as George Vasquez -- Valdez Came!!!). I knew Neal for well over 25 years, in fact, I worked alongside Neal for Bill Wilson long before Neal ever went into Business for himself. Neal was a very knowledgeable Man and a good person, we had many laughs. This is very tragic and my heart goes out to you. My Wife & I will be praying for you and your Family.

Dear Betsy, some of my fondest memories are of going to watch Neal race, even when i was little at Atco,he had my favorite car, that jumped every time he shifted..He was a treasure to my family, and I have some great video footage of some of his races,a couple times he actually let me steer the Fiat up the return lane while being towed, mannnn he was cool..He is only out of sight for a short time, him and my dad are up there probably asking Jesus where the closest track is while eating pickles and smoking cigars..If there is anything at all I can do please call me,1-609-420-3154 Earl Rains Jr.
