Curtis Lawrence Obituary
on May 25, 1951 in Maryville, Tennessee. He ended his journey on November 20,
2023 in Knoxville, TN.
Curtis touched many lives with his kind spirit and generous heart. He was a bright
star to everyone who knew him. His smile was as big as his heart. He attended
church at Water Angels Ministries in Knoxville, TN.
Curtis leaves to cherish his memory: brothers Jim Lawrence and Paul Smith.
Sisters Audrey Lawrence (Kevin), Carla Stacy and Janie Wine.
Induded in his family cirde were special nieces and nephews: Stephanie Hill,
Darla (Doug) Turner, Kamanya Lawrence, DeAndrea Davis, Whitney Lawrence,
Danielle Stacy, Tonya Bolling, JaMisha Green, Thelma Henderson (Jay), Cylee
Smith, Ryan (Annick) Lawrence, Marvin Hill Jr., Anthony (Tenaya) Jones Jr.,
Deon Smith. Childhood friend, Dennis Gaines. A host of great nieces and
nephews and many cousins. Special friend/cousin Kevin Phipps.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, brothers Marvin and Barry.
Services will be held Friday November 24, 2023 at The House of God - 160
Badgett Street -- Alcoa. Receiving friends at 1pm - 1:30 pm - Funeral to follow.
Interment will be at Sherwood Memorial. Final arrangements entrusted to Foothills Funeral Home.www.foothillsfh.com

I’ve known Curtis since Halloween 2001, when I moved in to my house on Cansler. He lived 6 houses down the street from me.
It is so hard to believe he’s gone..
He was a very kind man. We always spoke to one another when we saw each other.
He walked a lot, he always had a cheerful smile on his face. He was soft spoken, seemed kind of quiet, never had a harsh word about anyone. I wondered why I hadn’t seen him in the last 2 weeks, until I saw a mutual friend who told me the said news. To me, he was a fixture in our neighborhood, and I will truly miss him. The neighborhood will not be the same without him.

My prayers and heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Lawrence and Hill family. I will remember all the good times all of us had with little buddy. He was an awesome guy.

To the family of Curtis ( lil Buddy) i am so sorry to hear of his passing I would see him from time to walking on my street and he would stop and talk to me always with a smile he will truly be missed I pray that God will bring comfort strenght and peace in the days to come may he bless all of you
