Mike Thomas Obituary
Mike Thomas, age 45, of Knoxville, TN passed away on August 27, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Maryville, TN May of 1977. He graduated from William Blount High School and received a bachelor's degree from the University of TN. He was a former owner/operator of a Chick-fil-A franchise and later worked as the Senior Underwriter for Vanderbilt Mortgage & Finance. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Thomas, uncle, George A. Thomas, and aunt, Wanda May Woodby. He is survived by his father, Reece Thomas, uncle, Bill Thomas, partner, Haley GIlliam, friends and brothers, John and J.T. Paulley. Mike was a ferocious friend to many and loved by all. A receiving of friends followed by a celebration service will be held at the Alcoa-Maryville Church of God at 5pm on Thursday, September 1st. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Second Harvest Food Bank of East TN: https://donate.secondharvestetn.org/site/Donation2?df_id=1480&mfc_pref=T&1480.donation=form1 When the battle stopped and the smoke cleared; There was thunder from the throne; and seven Spanish angels took another angel home - Willie Nelson.
