Tony was such an inspiration to everyone. He was a ray of hope and sunshine to everyone blessed to have known him. I was a paraprofessional for 21 years at NHRHS where he would sub often in my agricultural class.
His wisdom, positive outlook and faith was a gift to all. I loved how he would stand in the hall and greet every single student with a smile and a joke to start the day in such a positive way. He was a great listener, and always had such great wisdom to share. He is greatly missed, but will always be remembered. Tony was such a wonderful man!

It is with a special smile that I remember Mr. Persutti. He was my high school teacher and later coworker when I taught in East Haddam. Such a sincere and thoughtful man. He had the ability to make each and every one of his students feel special... and that was long before staff meetings and workshops suggesting the need to do so. He was ahead of the “educational world” in being able to know when a student needed their day brightened! Very much a man of faith, may the eternal light now shine on him and may he now know the joy he brought so many others! Rest In Peace, Tony. Bette Shea Lomme

Ties that bind. Start with Tony as a teacher at Ansonia CT High School with my late wife Marcia as a student. Fast forward to Tony serving on the Westbrook Board of Education, and I serving in the same capacity
a few years later. From the 1970s to the 2000s we always saw each other at local events and parties. And close with both Marcia and Tony
now singing beautifully together in their heavenly choir. May the Lord bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand.

Tony was such a positive, influencing man, not only in my life, but to all his students he taught through his teaching years. He taught me many life lessons through our conversations as he subbed in our Vo-Ag class. He will always be remembered and greatly missed. He was amazing at remembering his students. 17 years after I graduated he saw me and without missing a beat held out his hand and said, "How's California?" He was a kind soul. You can be assured that he touched many lives in a very positive way. What a wonderful legacy!

Thank you for being the most important teacher I’ve ever had. You never judged me for being “different” than the majority of other students. If anything, you helped me develop a sense of acceptance toward myself... something no other teacher ever did. I will always remember our paisan bond and the unwavering warmth and compassion you shared with me. Deep bows of respect and love. Thank you, Mr. Persutti. You helped make me a better human.
