I knew Ben when he was a police officer in East Hampton.
He was a credit to the Police Dept.
I enjoyed talking with him from time to time.
He lead an impressive life.

Some of my best memories are bowling with Ben and Joanne. We would complain about how bad we were bowling but actually ended up in first place one season, and of course last place in another. It was a great way to relax at the end of the week and yelling a couple of colorful metaphors when the ball did not go where we threw it, or thought we threw it, was a good way to let out that built up steam.
I will think of Ben as sailing off into the sunset.

Benny was a fixture down at the dock for many years. Many good times and always had our backs. Always felt like a part of the family. Rest easy Big Ben we'll miss ya.
