Clarence Glover Jr.

Snellville, Ga. - Clarence Glover Jr. was born Sept. 1, 1946, to the late Pernell (Guinyard) Hardy Earle and Clarence Glover Sr. in St. Matthews, S.C. Clarence died peacefully in his home in Snellville, Ga., Dec. 12, 2022. He was raised in Yonkers,N.Y., where he had a full and lively childhood.

While in high school, Clarence played several organized sports, but he excelled in playing basketball. His basketball acumen was so outstanding, that he was granted basketball scholarships from various colleges in the Midwest, to which he would attend. When he could no longer play basketball, Clarence joined various tennis clubs and associations. With tennis, he mastered the doubles matches the best!

Clarence had an industrious career, as a day laborer and held various career endeavors in Connecticut, and North Carolina. In his spare time, he loved to cook; and he treasured good food and music, such as his favorite R & B group, The Whisperers.

Clarence is survived by his daughter Natalie Lynn (Jerald) Rowe; and his granddaughter Brooklynn Marie Rowe. He is also survived by his siblings: Emma (Raymond) Goodwine, Shirley Glover, Deborah (Robert) Phillips, Beatrice Hardy, Michael (Shaun) Hardy, Raymond Hardy and Paul Hardy. His siblings, Ford (Cassandra) Guinyard, William (Jeannette) Glover, Larry Glover, Russell (Gwendolyn) Glover and 
Tommy Glover predeceased him. Clarence has several nieces, nephews and cousins to which he was grateful for those cherished relationships.

Clarence will be remembered by countless friends and various relations. His zest for life and love of people will be treasured forever. "I can do all things, through Christ who strengths me." (Philippians 4:13)
