While reviewing the obituary of a close friend, I came upon the obituary of David L. Blackburn. I remembered Dave from high school, as he was a year ahead of me, but had lost contact with him following his graduation. I remember Dave being a good-natured guy with a wonderful sense of humor, who enjoyed engaging in various sports and being in the company of friends. I recall Dave was a decent human being who was often the first to assist others in need if it was in his power to do so. I am certain Dave will be quite missed by all who knew and loved him.

I remember always looking forward to chatting with Dave whenever I had cause to visit our supply section. Dave was a fun guy to have around and a good soldier.
