Eduardo Torres Obituary
Lovingly known as "Papi", our father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother and husband left us peacefully to be with the Lord.
He was predeceased by his life-long wife, Gumercinda Torres and a son, Anthony Clarke.
Mr. Torres is survived by three sons, Martin (Texas), Jose (Waterford), Eduardo Jr. "Wowie" and daughter-in-law, Marlene Sanchez; two daughters, Olga "Goggie" (his care-provider) and Lydia "Gigi", both of New London; siblings, Olga Torres, Arecibo Puerto Rico, Irving Torres and family, Crestview, Fla., and Pito Torres and his family, Norwich.
Papi, a devoted worker retired from Electrical Boat after 30 years of service.
Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 7, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
A Celebation of his life will be held following the burial at Papi's home, 15 Raymond Street, New London, where we'll share stories, memories, and love. All who were blessed to have met Papi are welcome.
We'll provide food, but feel free to bring a dish or drinks to share; your generosity would be deeply appreciated. Let's come together to honor my father's remarkable life and legacy. Thank you for your unwavering support and love during this difficult time. With heartfelt appreciation, the family of Papi Torres.

My deepest sympathy for your family´s loss. Your family lived next door to us for many years on West Coit. Mr. Torres was a wonderful neighbor and friend to my family.
