My deepest condolences to all of Norm's family and friends. My "little" brother, Peter Dempsey, described their friendship beautifully and I cannot hope to add anything to that. However, being the big sister (one year older than the team of Norm and Peter), I had the pleasure of knowing Norm through his bond with my brother.

Norm was sooo smart that everyone at West Side Junior High thought he never brought a book home and still got A's. That's because Norm hid a book or two under his shirt or coat so nobody would know. And, as probably all of you know, Norm was an amazing golfer (another joy he and my brother shared). I am sure that Norm probably talked my brother into wearing that Class of 1965 red beret at St. Bernard's.

I am thankful to have known the gentle, intelligent, caring Norman Strom . . . and, I was blessed to have been able to spend time with him in our later years when both my brother and I were visiting in Groton at the same time. May you rest in peace, Norm. We'll see you again.

I grieve the loss of "my best friend" and brother Norman. We met in 7th grade and were best friends for 56 years. The last 2+ years were the best for him and me. I got to share his journey and I thank him for that. "Your friend is your needs answered. He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving. And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit. When you part from your friend, your grieve not; For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence, as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain. And in the sweetness of friendsip let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed." Thanks Norm for being my friend. Rest in Peace. My heartfelt condolences to Linda, Kristen, and Craig and the rest of the family. We will miss our buddy, but never forget him.
