Sandra Goode Ferguson Obituary

Groton - Sandra Marie (Brown) Goode Ferguson passed away July 12, 2025. She was born in Westerly, R.I., Sept. 13, 1943, to Harry C. Brown and Mary P. (Price) Brown.

Sandra graduated from Stonington High School, Class of 1962. After high school, Sandra married Edward R. Goode Sr. (deceased) and they had two children, Edward R. Goode II and Candace E. Goode. In 2007, Sandra married Hosea T. Ferguson (deceased).

Sandra worked at General Dynamics Electric Boat for 43 years retiring in May 2015. She was a member of the Marine Draftsman Union Local 571 and Excelsior Temple #144 IBPOEOW New London.

She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, Harold Brown and Maurice Q. Brown (wife Susan Lewandowski Brown); and grandson Richard A. Goode. She is survived by her children, son Edward (Cyndie); daughter Candace; and grandchildren: William Holder, Janelle, Marcum, Danielle Goode, Elijah Goode, Christopher Williams, and Logan Cowan; and great-grandson Jaylen Niblack. Sandra was affectionately known by her grandchildren as Grandma, Gma, and Gram Jam. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, at Elm Grove Cemetery, 197 Greenmanville Avenue, Mystic.
