Sarah Adams Obituary
She was a 1961 graduate of Emma Samson High School, Gadsden, Ala. She married Billie M. Adams Jan. 3, 1961, in Bremerton, Wash. Together they traveled across the U.S. during his 22-year Navy career finally retiring in Gretna, La., where she worked for 20 years as a sales associate at Kmart. After retirement she moved to Alabama and then to Connecticut where she was a member of Poquonnock Bridge Baptist Church.
Sarah is survived by her daughter Dana Parfitt (John); grandsons, Tim Parfitt (Kristin) and James Parfitt (Rose); granddaughter Erin Gordon (Calvin); and great-grandchildren, Onastasha Parfitt, Owin Parfitt, and Lucas Schaefer. She is also survived by her sister Fay Reid. She was predeceased by her mother, husband, and children, Pamela Norman and David Adams.
Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames Street, Groton. All other arranges will be private. Please visit www.byles.com to sign the guest book or share a memory with the family.

Such a wonderful soul, she would always open her door to you if you needed a place to run from a hurricane, having fun visiting & remembering the good days, always checking on us, asking sure everyone was doing good & I'd there was anything that we may need. Seeing her love for her family & their love for her, she will be forever in my heart ❤ ❤ along with Pam & David, until we meet againwe Love you, Love Michael, Kathryn, the pups, kitties & all the chickies she loved to see. Hugs until we meet again.
