My dear Beth,
I just spoke to your mother. It was my intention to join you tomorrow for Sean's memorial service, but weather may make that impossible. If I don't make it tomorrow, then I will plan another time.
I have such a vivid memory of you; of course, you were just a child. And now I am writing to you after the very world has slammed you and your children with the terrible loss of your husband. The child I remembered became the wife and mother who must grieve her loss and find hope and joy for all her tomorrows.
My hope and prayer is that you make a new beginning over this ending.
My arms are wrapped around you and I hope you feel the love that I had for you as that beautiful and sweet young that continues to this very moment.
