Terry Shaffer Obituary

Uncasville - Terry Lynn Shaffer (née Sullivan), aged 67, of Hartford, passed away April 19, 2024. Born to the late Helena Weaver and Theodore Sullivan Dec. 5, 1956, in New London, she was also stepdaughter to Charles "Lucky" Weaver.

A Waterford High School alumna, Terry was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her life was marked by her love for her family, her enjoyment of birdwatching, and her talent for sewing. Terry's enthusiasm for wrestling, her occasional visits to the casino and her culinary explorations added joy to her life and to those around her.

Terry is survived by her loving husband, Richard Shaffer III; her children, Aimee Shaffer and Richard Shaffer IV; and her adored grandchildren: Alex, Ben, Emily and Arianna. She also leaves behind her siblings: Toni, Kathi, Kelli, Krissi, Danny and Dale, who will forever treasure her memory.

A Celebration of Life memorial will be scheduled to honor Terry's memory. Details will be provided to family and friends. Terry's kindness, generosity, and loving spirit will be profoundly missed and eternally remembered by all who knew her.
