William Sutera Obituary

Casa Grande, Ariz. - William "Bill" Sutera, 75, of Casa Grande, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017.

He was born on Jan. 17, 1942, in New London, to Harry and Caroline Sutera.

Bill was a great man who will be remembered for his devoted personality, kind heart and passion for life. He moved to Arizona over 30 years ago where he established a life within the community. He worked for many local companies but retired from Waste Water Management. After his retirement, Bill's love for animals turned into more than a hobby. He loved to walk dogs, take care of and foster animals. Bill was a member of A.A. for 44 years. He took great pride in his sobriety and will be remembered for helping so many people. He will be remembered also for his love of the Yankees and his hobby of bowling - in which he won several awards. Above all else, Bill was the ultimate family man. He was devoted to his daughter and grandchildren very much, never missing a graduation or event. Bill's love for his wife was rare and beautiful; they were best friends. Bill impacted so many lives and will truly be missed.

Bill is survived by his wife of 22 years, Vicki; his daughter, Andrea of Niantic; two siblings, Bob Sutera of Maryville, Tenn. and Carol Beck of Tahlequah, Okla.; and two grandchildren, Kyle and Kelly Zrenda.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole and Maud, Gardens Chapel. A reception will follow in the Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Casa Grande Valley Humane Society.
