Herbert Henry "Herb" Moss

Herbert Henry "Herb" Moss, 99, of Palm Desert, died on February 21, 2017 of natural causes. He was born in Kearny, New Jersey and educated in New Jersey and New York.

He resided in Palm Springs from 1982 until moving to Palm Desert in 2003.

His business career included 35 years of international executive positions, 28 of those years living and working overseas with Sterling Drug - Bayer Co., Johnson & Johnson, Avon Products and Max Factor. He retired from corporate life in 1976 and became a consultant until 1996, initially in Los Angeles, then in Palm Springs.

Herb was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Lauterbach Moss and his second wife Jean Lenkensdofer Norton Moss. He is survived by his wife Vera Coimbra Moss, his daughter Judith Helen Stockmayer and husband Ralph , his son Herbert "Skip" Moss and wife Nancy, his stepson Rafael Coimbra, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 2 nephews.

A memorial celebration of his life will be held at The Fountains at the Carlotta in Palm Desert on his birthday, March 17th. from 11 to 1pm. Memorial donations may be made to his favorite charity, The Resident Council at the Carlotta Scholarship Fund, 41-505 Carlotta Dr. Palm Desert, CA 92211.
