Marcus Drury Obituary
Marcus C. Drury, 81, of Indio, Calif., passed away August 25, 2012 in Bakersfield, Calif. of Progressive Supraneuro Palsy. He was born January 29, 1931 to Wailes and Madge in Mountain Aire, N.M. He was married to Mary Ann for over 30 years. He was a truck driver for Massey Cement & Rock. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 35 years. He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1954 as a Bosan. He is survived by his daughters, Janet Vatter of Palm Desert, Calif., Annette Drury of Stockton, Calif., Amy Drury of Lodi, Calif., Leta Monoghan of Belgrade, Mont., Linda Magnum of Jasper, Ga., Judy Garcia of Bermuda Dunes, Calif., and Jeannie Lewis of Holdenville, Okla.; sons, Dean Drury of Bakersfield and Jim Armstrong of Palm Desert; and sister, Esmeralda of Red Bluff, Calif. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Mary Ann. A visitation will be held September 1, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Mortuary, Coachella, Calif. Interment will be held on September 4, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Coachella Valley Cemetery in Coachella. Services are under the direction of Forest Lawn. Marc I will always remember you walking all day long in the mountains of Wyoming when we were all hunting. You were always full of energy and you will be missed so very much. You and your whole family are very much in my thoughts and prayers. Nikki

Oh Mark! If you only knew how much you will be missed. I know you are in a much better place, no more pain and no more worries. Thank you for being such a big part of my life. You have given me so many good memories to hold on to and share with others. May the Lord hold all of Marks Family in the palm of his hands and comfort them at this tuff time.
