Walter Piszczor Obituary

Walter John Piszczor, 92, of Palm Desert, CA, left this earth for heaven on March 15, 2008. He passed peacefully in sleep at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born to John and Antonette Piszczor in Chicago, IL. He came to California in 1968 and retired to Palm Desert in 1994. He was a very successful business man owning many businesses in Chicago, IL and Palos Verdes, CA. He was a very special person to all who knew him. He had a great love for life and people. He never met a person he did not like. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Marie (Hankus) Piszczor; his daughters, Carolyn (Harry) Lesseos of Palm Desert and Kathleen (Garry) Patrick of Columbine Valley, CO; three wonderful grandsons, Christopher (Paige), Jason, and Scott Patrick, as well as numerous nieces and nephews; his brother, Chester (late Jeanette) Piszczor of Illinois; his sister, Veronica (George) Zurowski of Illinois; his brother, John (Rita) Piszczor of La Quinta and numerous loved ones and friends. Preceded in death by his brothers, Joe (Katherine) Piszczor and Frank (Elsie) Piszczor. Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Palm Desert. His final resting place will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Chicago, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in his memory to Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice, 42-600 Cook Street, Suite 202, Palm Desert, CA 92211.
