Alva was the best sister a girl could ever have. My little sister! There are so many wonderful things I can write about her. So many beautiful memories. I just don't think I'd be able to finish. If you knew Lucero, then you can see her in Little Mia. She's exactly like her. From her silly ways to her smart mind. Every time I look at her I see my sister smiling back at me. She's the best gift from her to us. There will always be a BIG VOID in my heart and the hearts of all my family members.I know the pain will never go away, but I also realize that the Lord has a reason for everything. Thanks to all you guys for all your kind words. Some of you guys new her well, some are her bestest of friends, still, so I know you all share our pain.
To Alva: I love you so much, and I miss you the same. I wish you were still here with us. My memories of you will never fade away. You will always be my BESTEST SISTER EVER. Don't worry about Mia, she's in good hands as are you. I know one day I will see you again up there in Heaven, and that day will be one of the happiest for me. I love you Little Sis.

I went to school with Alva and hung out with the same crowd as her from time to time. Although she was a quiet person (which is good while you are in school), she was a very determined, sweet person and always smiling. May God Bless her family and daughter Mia and forever keep her near in their hearts and memories.

Lucero, it's everyday we think about you in some kind of way, your smile, the way you made us laugh, and how each day you were getting stronger. I remember the day that we were going to take pictures of only Mia and you didn't want to but someone told us to tell you that you needed to take them with your daughter. Now those pictures are now what we see everyday.
It's amazing how your daughter is looking more and more like you. You will never be forgotten.
