Marcos Vega Obituary

October 7, 1919 - July 8, 2016

Marcos Orozco Vega "Memo", 96 of Snook went to her heavenly home on Friday, July 8, 2016. Visitation was held on Monday, July 11 from 6 pm-8 pm, with a rosary recited at 7 pm, at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Somerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at the church Tuesday, July 12 at 10 am with interment following at The Mexican Cemetery in Somerville.

A beloved mother and homemaker, Memo was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends to adore the bond of family and community. She loved to spend time growing a garden and planting and pruning flowers, as well as roses.

Above all, Memo had an unwavering faith and prayed her rosary for the wellbeing of her children, family and all those in need. She leaves a legacy of life lessons, memories and will be missed dearly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cresencio L. Vega; and her brothers, Lorenzo Orozco and wife Juanita, Abraham Orozco and wife Aurelia, George Orozco; sisters, Guadalupe "Lupe" Arredondo and husband Jim, Atanacia Orozco and sister-in-law, Rosie Orozco.
