Colleen K. Cummings

GRAND ISLAND - Colleen K. Cummings, of Grand Island, passed away on March 15, 2024, surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2 pm at All Faiths Funeral Home, with Dan Naranjo officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service.
Colleen was born on August 16, 1935 in Grand Island, to Arthur and Violet (Reed) Sanders. She was raised and received her education in Grand Island, graduating from Senior High in 1953. She then went on to attend Eden School of Hair Dressing.
On November 26, 1955, Colleen was united in marriage to James Cummings. Two children were blessed into this union, Edward and Mark. Colleen worked as a beautician until her retirement.
Colleen was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids, doing puzzles, reading, and baking. She also liked spending time outside and playing cards.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, James; son, Mark (Donnelle); grandchildren; Carly Cummings, Tracy Cummings (Justin), Jeremy Halm (Adriana), Kapra Cummings, Michele Cummings; great grandchildren, Christian, Stella, Sawyer, Charlotte, Jaxson, Brooks, Augustine, Aniyah, Kaysha, Keithen, Kardter, Kennedy, Gracie, Jameson, Adrien, Julian; brother, Gary Sanders; sister, Carolyn Hehnke; special family friend, Amy Kolander; and numerous extended family members.
Colleen was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Mary Bohart; son, Edward; siblings, Sharon, Ramona, Jack, Gene, Shirley; sister-in-law, Jo; and brother-in-law, Jerry.

The Cummings were just one if my favorite guest at Applebees.I loved visiting with both of them .I'm so so sorry for their loss , prayers
