Judy A. Goodman, age 87, of Grand Island passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at First Presbyterian Church of Grand Island. Rev. Kevin Geurink will officiate.
All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to First Presbyterian Church.
Judy was born on December 11, 1937 in Grand Island, daughter of Max and Lorraine (Kelso) Miner. She received her education in Grand Island and graduated in 1956.
On December 28, 1956 at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Island, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Roger Goodman. They made their home in Grand Island where Judy cared for their home and children.
She was a member of First Presbyterian. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flower gardens. Judy was a Nebraska football fan and an avid reader. She made anywhere they lived home. Judy was a wonderful cook, she could make anything from Sunday roast with the best gravy or a special cake for a birthday or a visit. She was a talented painter and had an eye for elegance. After Roger's retirement, Judy enjoyed spending winter in Arizona and swimming whenever she got the chance. She was always there for her friends and family.
Judy is survived by her husband of 68 years, Roger of Grand Island; children, Molly (Dan) Cimino, Tim (Rhonda) Goodman and Merrit (Kevin Bitney) Odermatt; grandchildren, Colin Cimino, Drew Cimino, Suzanne Cimino, Carly Cimino, Anastin Odermatt and Kalyn Odermatt; great-grandchildren, Ben Miller, Sofia Cimino, Daniel Cimino, Liam Barnhart, Ari Barnhart and Sunny Jacobo; numerous friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Michael Miner; and sister, Susan Hunt.
