Terry L. Orr, 76, of Grand Island, NE, died Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at CHI Health Bergan Mercy in Omaha, NE, with his daughters at his side. Mr. Orr's life will be celebrated Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Curran Funeral Chapel with family greeting the public from 9 a.m. until service time. Rev. Sheri Lodel will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Military honors rendered by the U.S. Marine Corp. Honor Guard. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Terry was born April 24, 1948, at Lewellen, NE, the son of Clifford and Donna (Beattie) Orr. Terry graduated from Gibbon High School in 1967. He entered the U.S. Marine Corp on January 17, 1968. Terry married Virginia Lundquist on May 10, 1969 in Gibbon NE. Terry was stationed in Twentynine Palms, CA, Camp Pendleton, CA, Ft. Huachuca, AZ. He served three tours in Okinawa, Japan and served in Vietnam as well, before retiring on January 31, 1994. After his retirement Terry returned to Nebraska where he was a OTR semi driver for over 20 years.
Terry enjoyed western Nebraska ranch life, woodworking, westerns, and NASCAR.
He is survived by his daughters, Alena Freeman of Grand Island, NE, Kimberly Orr of Grand Island, NE; Sister, Linda (Francis) Spotanski of Shelton, NE; Daughter-in-law, Trina Orr, and his grandson, Logan Orr of Phoenix, AZ; Ex-wife, Virginia Orr of St. Paul, NE.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, son, Matthew Orr, infant grandson, Garrett Orr, brothers, Kenny, Randy, Charles LeRoy "Roy", and sister, Marsha Coughtry.
